• Chopped coriander leaves
• Green chillies chopped – 1 spoon
• Ginger chopped – 2.5 cm
• A pinch of soda

Instructions:
1. Wash and soak the urad dal for 2 hours or 4 to 5 hours
note: – 2 hours is enough, it is easy to break, so I brew for only 2 hours.
2. Drain the dal and blend it into a smooth paste. If necessary, use less than 2 to 3 tablespoons of water. Remove the mixture into the mixing bowl.
3. Now add all the other ingredients to the urad dal paste, except the oil, mix/beat it well with a spoon to form a slightly soft batter.
4. Heat the oil for frying in a deep pan. Once hot enough, use your hand or spoon to drop small balls into the hot oil and fry until all sides are golden brown.
5. Remove Pakodas on absorbent paper, use the same process for the remaining batter and make Pakodas.
6. Your Urad Dal Pakoda is ready to serve with green chutney, ketchup or hot tea.
Tips:
• Do not add too much water while mixing; if the mixture becomes thin, pakoda will soak more oil.
• You can air fry them or fry them in a skillet if you don’t want to fry them.
• You can add rice flour instead of suji/semolina.
