I don’t belong to the Christian religion, but the way Jesus lived his life is a huge inspiration to me.
“Don’t think about tomorrow…”;
“Behold the birds of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you much better than them?”
Passages as such, and how Jesus had nothing, not a cent, but when He needed something at that moment, resonated deeply with me and filled me with joy.
I have reached the stage where I can live without worries. I let go of all long-term planning and rely solely on the guidance of my Higher Self.
This type of lifestyle is very satisfying because you end up being exactly where you are supposed to be, and things work out better than with the guidance of your mind.
For example for my current trip (follow me on Instagram for my travel updates), I felt like I shouldn’t plan anything at all. I didn’t even know whether to take the bus or the train to get to my next destination.
In the end I took the train. I bought the second class ticket because that is the only type available if you travel without planning several weeks in advance.
When the train arrived I saw one of the train crew. I asked him if it was that particular train, and he gestured me inside.
Once on the train I realized I was in a sleeping compartment and not in second class. Still, I went with the flow and stayed there.
The ticket checker came in. He didn’t even see me. Then a group of schoolchildren with teachers got in (you can see some of them in the photos of this post). They were traveling to the same destination as me.
Because I was in good company, the hours flew by. One of the teachers had the same interests as me, was the same age and our birth dates were eight days apart! She gave good recommendations on which spiritual places we could visit in that particular place, and we exchanged contact information.
The ticket inspector came in for the second time. No attention was paid to me, as if I didn’t exist. So my trip cost maybe four or five times less, although I was willing to pay for my stay in a higher class compartment.
So even though I didn’t book the ticket in advance, because I trusted my Higher Self, I traveled in comfort and in good company.
Once I got off the train, I had no idea where I would be staying, or even for how long. The first hotel I called had a good offer on accommodation, and there was a direct bus from the train station.
I didn’t know the bus number to the hotel, but the first bus I approached went to that specific area and was just leaving.
30 minutes later I am at the hotel. Mumbai was super busy so my wish was to stay in this place in peace. And it turned out that today I was the only guest in that small hotel, so it was completely quiet!
So this is what it’s like when you rely solely on your Higher Self, instead of micro-managing everything. Life becomes fun, interesting, full of pleasant surprises, easy and always new. I love living this way, and I also enjoy guiding my clients to this way of life.
