If you are looking for an exciting global experience this summer, enhance your professional development and gain experience working virtually, then Teamwork might be exactly what you’re looking for! Here are some more details about TeamWork and why this is an opportunity not to be missed…

So what is a virtual project?

As with any group project, you work as a team. The difference is that with TeamWork you can come together remotely in an online team with students from Warwick and other top universities around the world. You are part of a group of 6 students who have the opportunity to work together online for 4 weeks on an organization’s project.

We’ll make sure you can use Microsoft Teams in your dedicated project team, so you and your team can meet online, share materials and project progress. Project mentoring is offered to you and your team by the organization whose project you will be working on. As part of the program you will also receive introductory training, plus support from a dedicated university contact before, during and after the project.

In addition to being flexible and easily accessible, working online can give you valuable experience in remote communication and collaboration technology, teamwork and intercultural skills, which are in high demand by organizations and can give you a competitive advantage when it comes to applying for jobs to internships and graduate positions. Virtual projects are also a great way to work directly with an organization to gain work experience and insight into a particular industry sector.

What type of projects are available?

Projects are offered by organizations all over the world, in different sectors, so wide and varied! Previous participating organizations have included Colgate Palmolive, Decathlon HK, Action for Development and Eurostar, plus MANY more. Importantly, the projects do not require specific knowledge of the sector or subject, so you will work with students from a wide range of study disciplines. .
