Loved ones,
Greetings and Greetings!
Lately I’ve been scouring the archives for compelling images I captured before I started taking photography so seriously. This photo, from a night hike on Skyline Divide in the Mount Baker Wilderness east of Bellingham, Washington, was taken in August 2012 with a Canon PowerShot point-and-shoot camera.
I remember wandering around after we set up camp, watching the last of the sun illuminate Mount Shuksan. By kneeling on the ground, the blooming Valerian and Bistort could be graphically silhouetted against the iconic mountain. I love how the flowers appear like giants through the frame.
Thanks for enjoying the view!
With gratitude,
James
